Plantar fasciitis. The nagging injury that’s kept me from my favorite aerobic exercise (running). It’s forced me to try something new that as a serious runner I’d always mocked, the elliptical! But you know what, it’s been surprising how much changing my routine has helped.I’m working muscles differently while still getting a workout and also allowing my foot to heal. How deep are you into your daily/weekly routines? What would happen if you mixed it up a bit?I challenge you to try!✅ If you exercise in the morning, try at night.✅ If you lift weights and then run, try running then lifting.✅ If you always have eggs for breakfast, try oatmeal, yogurt or granola.✅ If you go to bed at 10:30, try 10.✅ If you start your workday with emails, save them for the end of the day.✅ If you always start a call with the same opening, try a new approach.Switching things up forces you to see and think things differently.Try it, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.👍🏼#strategy #mindset #success #innovation

I see this almost every day on LinkedIn and resumes:The need to embellish one’s accomplishments is outweighing what you’ve actually done.Don’t fall into that trap. Not only is it a slippery slope, it’s dishonest.I review a lot of resumes and here’s the top 3 red flags I see regularly:⛔️ Using a made-up title or giving yourself seniority you haven’t actually earned.⛔️ Providing numbers that are misleading and aren’t quantifiable, thinking no one can REALLY know if they’re accurate or not.⛔️ Copying someone else’s “professional summary” or “about” section.(Blows my mind that professionals actually do this and put it out there for the 🌎.)Want to be sure you pass the “sniff” test? Here’s a few ways to win with a clear conscience:✅ Be authentic and let your personality shine through.✅ Tell the story of what you’ve done, or haven’t done, and how you got there.✅ Provide relevant numbers/data that can easily be understood.A good company will do their due diligence and can spot BS a mile away.So don’t be caught trying to be someone you aren’t.#strategy #sales #mindset #success

If you’re in ecomm you’ve probably seen a lot of posts about ShopTalk in your feed. For good reason…it was a huge success IMO! (who says trade shows are dead?!)What makes a tradeshow worth it for you? Here’s a few takeaways how they knocked it out of the park.✅ Collaboration: More opportunities to visit with vendors/brands on different levels. This came in the form of booths, sessions, panels, meetups and after parties/events.✅ Attendee Mix: Every type and size of vendor/brand was present from across the globe.✅ Topics: Topics discussed in sessions were more relevant and more authentic than ever, spanning startups to global organizations.✅ Relatability: They knew their audience and catered to both the needs and demographics of attendees. (Ludacris anyone?!)✅ Location: Keeping everyone under one roof for all sponsored and non-sponsored events created an environment where opportunities to connect were always present. What are your favorite ecommerce/DTC tradeshows you'd recommend?#ecommerce #shoptalk #technology #tradeshows

Would you rather run uphill with a tailwind or downhill with a headwind?I thought about this while literally sucking wind on my run which felt like I was running into a tornado.💨From a business perspective, there’s some things we can control (company we choose to work for) and other things we cannot (the leader we report to).So what’s the better scenario?Working at your dream company for a leader you can’t stand…ORWorking for an amazing leader and a company you can’t stand?#leadership #success #mindset #poll

Want to know who the best salesperson of all time is?It’s not Grant Cardone. It’s not Zig Ziglar. RIPIt’s not even Mark America Smith, PdH, sorry Mark. It’s Carl Orff. He’s the one responsible for getting recorders into every elementary school classroom around the world, starting in the early 1900’s.Likely amounting to tens of millions of recorders. There are many strong opinions about learning, and listening to, someone who is starting to play the recorder.🥴That said, almost a century and millions of recorders later, they’re still being sold.I want to be like Carl Orff. You may hate him for it but his recorder legacy lives on, and on, and on….#sales #education #success #winning

Girls lacrosse started last night.🥍It’s the first practice of the year and girls are required to wear mouthguards. It’s not only a rule but crucial for safety.None of the girls “like” wearing them, it’s just something they have to do.It’s comical trying to decipher what they’re trying to say when we play “get to know you” games or do drills where they need to call out to a teammate. Most of the time what comes out is completely incomprehensible. They have a huge mouthguard in their mouths and aren’t used to speaking with it!Some get frustrated. Some take it out to speak. But after a few practices they get used to it and carry on with happy attitudes and smiles. (us coaches eventually learn to translate what they’re actually saying!😂)What are the figurative “mouthguards” in your professional and personal lives…things you can’t live without but need to tackle regularly? Before you face them next time, take a deep breath and try going in with a positive attitude, great energy and a smile, consciously thinking about the benefits. It may not get any “easier” but do this and maybe you’ll end up all smiles like my lacrosse girls!😄#success #mindset #coaching #sales
