🤔 Can you related to the following? ... #1 Stating the obvious when things are not so obvious. #2 Stating the obvious when it is not helpful. Here are two examples that have a common theme - #time to #think #1 My colleagues & I had a manuscript rejected but were not deterred! During our follow-up meeting about 6 weeks after leaving a postion (time to think); I said the reviewers beleive we have done research. However, we conducted a needs assessment. It was an 'ah ha' moment for all of us & we revised the manuscript. We are waiting to hear back from Public Health Nursing Jr. #2 I am a proud grandmother & want to be supportive. Our grandson was upset & I commented on how obviously upset he was (NOT helpful). After I reflected (time to think) I appologized to our son & acknowledged him. When situtations are obviously stressful it is best to be supportive & curious!
