Vodafone Idea IPO Synopsis
Vodafone Idea Limited FPO is set to open from 18th April to 22nd April 2024. The company is the third-largest telecommunications service provider in the country. The FPO includes a fresh issue of 16,363,636,363 shares worth ₹18,000.00 cr. The share allotment date is 23rd April 2024, and the FPO will be listed on 25th April 2024 on the stock exchanges. The price band is set at ₹10 to ₹11 and the lot size is 1298 shares.
Axis Capital Limited, Jefferies India Private Limited, and SBI Capital Markets Limited are the book-running lead managers for this FPO, while Link Intime India Private Limited is the registrar.
Objectives of Vodafone Idea FPO:
● To fund the equipment purchase for the expansion of the network infrastructure by setting up new 4G sites, expanding the capacity of existing 4G Sites and new 4G sites, and setting up new 5G sites.
● To pay DoT for deferred payments for spectrum and GST.
● General corporate purposes.

Established in 1995, Vodafone Idea Limited is the third-largest telecommunications service provider in the country. Globally, the company ranks sixth for being the largest cellular operator in terms of subscribers. Vodafone Idea provides services related to voice, data, enterprise and other value-added services (VAS), including short messaging services and digital services across 2G, 3G and 4G technologies.
The company had a 17.79% share in the Indian mobile telecommunications services industry for applicable gross revenue (ApGR) for the December quarter of FY24. For the same period, the company’s total number of subscribers was around 223.0 million with a market share of 19.3%.
