I could not agree more! As someone deeply entrenched in team dynamics and growth, I've found that certain qualities stand out above the rest. Self-awareness, empathy, and the ability to simplify complex concepts aren't just nice-to-haves; they're essential pillars of success in any environment. When team members understand their strengths and weaknesses, approach interactions with empathy, and communicate ideas clearly and concisely, it fosters a culture of trust, collaboration, and innovation. Equally vital is the courage to speak up and embrace different viewpoints—an openness that fuels creativity and drives positive change. And let's not forget the power of embracing mistakes and learning from them—a growth mindset that propels individuals and teams toward continuous improvement. While qualifications may open doors, it's these intrinsic qualities that truly set high performers apart. Here's to prioritizing these invaluable traits in every facet of our professional journeys! 💡🗣️ #SelfAwareness #Empathy #InnovationCulture

While I do not agree that *every* #highperformer has all 9 of these traits, I do agree this list has characteristics that are often overlooked or undervalued (even though they get a lot of lip service!). There are a few here I’m personally trying to work on ↗️#selfdevelopment #leadership

Being a top performer definitely doesn’t need talent.Being on time doesn’t need talent.Showing integrity at work doesn’t need talent. Come before time to work doesn’t need talent. Also, you are as good as your communication skill. Nothing goes by assumption. People can understand your idea only if you can communicate it to them in a proper way.

This right here should be the blue print for all companies. Hire people according to these traits at all levels, entry level, through upper management. Followed by both company holding themselves to these traits and their employees making adjustments where necessary if see issues ahead.

Most employers go about this the wrong way in most instances . Whether looking to fill an already open position or to replace a current employees position. Almost without hesitants they look for someone outside of plant to fill the position, a person in the same position with more experience or more education. Usually a person that is somehow less qualified for the position just based on the type of experience the company needs." Let's just say the open position is a supervisory position in a plant that produces its own products of sorts." The person that usually gets hired off the street has alot of education and has been a manager at a grocery store for 10 years. When you bring that person in and they don't have a clue to what a production line is all about all you've really done is make your current employees fill as if they weren't good enough and now your increasing productivity just because they new person can't seem to run the shift at the same efficiency as the last supervisor that came off the floor and been in that department running those same lines for only 5 years before he/she was promoted and because they only had a high school education was the reasoning behind posting the job in the first place was because new upper management thought the current supervisor wasn't qualified enough because of lack of education. This is real example that I was aware of years ago at a place of employment. If it's not broke ,don't fix it. And this happens every where in every aspect. Those 9 traits of a person is the way you should look at hiring or promoting!

How did you know my definition? I am notable for “e) all of the above” in my work and personal life. This week, I have had the honor of hearing others tell others about me:1. She taught me how to use a chainsaw.2. She helped me recast a loan and fix my mistake.3. When I was crying, she asked if she could hug me for 1 minute. I felt so much better.4. I was really struggling. She suggested I watch a funny movie that night. Today I feel so much better.5. I lost 20 pounds! She suggested I avoid artificial sweeteners and increase my veggies.6. I could not do this class without her! Her encouragement and insight make it possible.7. She sets the tone for the team.8. She is a farmer . . . of goals. She has goals over here and goals over there. Goals for days.I am here to say this: You never know the impact you are making. If you are fortunate, you will hear the stories told about how you helped shape the world of those around you for good. Do I have rough days? Sure. Do I have bad days? No. Why would I ever condemn a whole day because of a few bad seconds, minutes, or hours? And, truly, how rough do those have to be for me to name them bad? Would I ever condemn moments of time? No.I commit every moment to growing.
